Carestream Health recommends the KODAK LED Safelight for safelight use with Autoradiography films, Electron Micrography films, and KODAK NTB Liquid Emulsion.
The function of a safelight is to provide sufficient illumination in a darkroom while protecting the film from unwanted exposure. To obtain high quality autoradiographs, you must ensure proper safelight conditions.
"Safe" is a relative term. Most sensitized materials will become fogged if you expose them to a safelight for an extended period of time. Therefore, you should always minimize the exposure of photographic materials to safelight illumination.
